Are you a video editor looking for your next challenge? Here at Kapow Primary we are expanding our small in-house video team to accommodate some exciting new projects for 2025.
This is a full-time, permanent role. The role will require a minimum of 3 days per week based at our offices in London Bridge.
About Kapow Primary
Kapow Primary is a digital educational publishing company that supports primary school teachers through original short-form videos, lesson plans and other resources and guidance created by specialist teachers. Over 7,600 primary schools in England use Kapow to support their teaching of the foundation subjects.
We make short-form documentary-style video content combining original demo, studio-shot presenter segments, stock footage and graphics. Our videos support both teachers in their pedagogical knowledge and pupils' learning in class.

The role
Reporting to the Head of video, you will use your wealth of editing experience to ensure high quality and best practices throughout the team and support our video publication deadlines.
We are looking for a creative video editor with basic motion graphics, who can convey complicated teaching and learning material in a simple and effective way. The successful candidate will enjoy the technical aspect of editing and be enthusiastic about video production.
What you will do
Under the guidance and direction of our Head of video you will:
- Edit Kapow Primary videos to a high standard.
- Ensure management of rushes/project files/master files according to our storage plan.
- Support our freelance camera/studio team.
- Familiarise yourself with and implement our video house-style.
- Take ownership of projects, and deliver videos to deadline and on budget.
- Picture research where necessary using our stock library accounts.
- Keep up-to-date with developments in the industry.
You will have:
Essential
- Relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in media, photography, video production, or related field, or a substantial amount of professional experience without a degree.
- Experience editing short-form video in a professional environment.
- A minimum of three years experience using Premiere Pro, After Effects, Motion graphics and the Adobe Suite including Photoshop and basic colour correction.
- An acute eye for detail.
- The ability to edit audio files to a high standard.
- A flexible, proactive, positive attitude. You will need to be well-organised and able to work with a high level of autonomy.
- The ability to be a team player and work well with others, including editors, freelance contractors, content creators, graphic designers and our project manager.

- Competent motion graphics.
- Experience of working with stock footage libraries.
