WILD Young Parents is a charity on a big mission.
Our vision: We want a fair start for young parents and their babies.
Our mission: We will work together with young parent families - to grow love and resilience, to tell their stories, and to build a society that cares about their future.
WILD was set up by young parents over 30 years ago, and we are now the biggest voice for young parent families in the UK.
Young parents and their children face significant health, social and economic inequalities. We don't think that's fair, and we're working to change it. If you share our belief and are passionate about tackling inequality, strengthening families and ensuring babies get the best possible start in life, join us as a Parent Focus worker across the East area of Cornwall.

Through evidence based and trauma responsive group, one to one and home & community working you'll help young parent families strengthen attachment, improve wellbeing, build a sense of belonging and access the support they need to thrive.
You’ll be a great fit for our team if you:
- Are experienced engaging and working directly with young people, parents or families in community, health, education, youth or family support settings
- Can build trusted relationships and engage families facing multiple challenges and inequalities
- Have experience planning and delivering one-to-one support, group sessions or family-focused work
- Understand trauma-responsive practice, safeguarding, and the importance of keeping children's needs at the centre of all work
- Can work collaboratively with partner agencies and confidently advocate for families
- Value the voices, strengths and lived experiences of young parent families
- Are organised, able to manage your workload, and can maintain accurate records and reports
Benefits
- Generous holiday allowance
- Additional leave for key life events and long service increments
- Varied and progressive opportunities within a learning focused organisation
- Teams based organisational structure
- Pension contribution
