About the Role:
Sheffield Mind’s Anger Management service delivers 8-week Group Anger Management courses, for people who have been referred and assessed for the service. The service also occasionally delivers ‘Introduction to Anger Management’ sessions, to members of the public.

We are looking for a male and a female volunteer to help facilitate these sessions and support the course facilitators in assessment, delivery and evaluation.

You must be reliable and confident, able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of people and to facilitate group work and discussion.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide support to staff delivering the Anger Management course
· Attend sessions (these may be online or in-person) and help facilitate group discussion
· Assist with the processing of referrals, using a database to record relevant information and outcomes
· Promote the service using internal and external communication – flyers/social media/internal staff newsletter.
· Help staff monitor and evaluate group member’s progress, record attendance and absence, progress during the course and graduation
· Assist in the collection of information and data in order to monitor and evaluate the service overall.

Management and Supervision
· Attend regular supervision with the Anger Manager Course Facilitators
· Attend relevant training and meetings.

Other Tasks: 
  • Liaise with other staff members and make sure that sessions have the appropriate resources, help with room prep and clearing
