JOB DESCRIPTION
 Trusts and Foundation Fundraiser | PERMANENT | FULL TIME
 
 REPORTS TO: TRUST AND PHILANTHROPY MANAGER 
 DEPARTMENT: FUNDRAISING 
 
Job Purpose
You will generate fundraising income for Pace and enable children with neurodisabilities to take their place in the world. You will identify and engage trusts, foundations and other funders likely to fund our work, writing compelling and comprehensive funding bids, presentations and applications, and working with the Trusts and Philanthropy Manager.

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVES 
Research and identify organisations whose charitable purposes align with Pace services. 
Maintain a prospect pipeline of potential funding opportunities.
Create cases for support that are robust, transparent and compelling. 
Make applications and secure funding from Trusts, Foundations and other organisations
Developing new bids and cases for support
Manage the relationship with several trusts and foundation partnerships to gain or retain multiyear funding and long-term support.
Manage the pipeline of opportunities, working with the fundraising to ensure potential bids are developed and submitted and stewardship is planned and delivered. 
Collate data to write and deliver reports to funders, ensuring reports 
Ensure all donors a engaged and receive excellent stewardship including face-to-face meetings whenever possible.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
FUNDRAISING

• Research and manage a pipeline of opportunities for suitable trusts and foundations 

• Write and submit high-quality, tailored funding applications within funders’ deadlines.

• Deliver presentations when part of the application process.

• Submit relevant monitoring and evaluation reports required by funders, ensuring high standards are consistently met.

STEWARDSHIP

• Ensure timely acknowledgement of all donations and grants and meet donors reporting requirements.

• Contribute to donors' effective and excellent stewardship, including at events.

• Nurture good relationships with prospects and donors.

• Report regularly and be accountable to senior stakeholders.

• Ensure Pace meets the requirement of any donations, including publicity and offering evidence of their impact.

DATABASE

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of relevant trusts and foundations, including any interactions or communications.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of opportunities, proposals and expressions of interest.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pledges, donations and associated acknowledgements.

ADMINISTRATION

• Follow up approaches and check progress to ensure outcomes can be monitored with service delivery staff and finance. 

• Work closely and effectively with clinical and educational teams to gather and collate project information to enhance funding applications and reports.

FINANCE 

• Contribute to budget preparations to support fundraising applications 

• Liaise with the Finance department to ensure that all trust pledges and ongoing annual grants are received.

RELATIONSHIPS

• Work to build good relationships with donors and provide an excellent level of supporter care.

• Establish and maintain high-quality relationships across the depth and breadth of the organisation.

OTHER

• A willingness to travel on occasion.

• Operate within Charity Law and Data Protection Law and adhere to the Code of Fundraising Practice.
