The Trainee Analyst will work within the Business Support Team (“BST”) which provides administrative support to the business in relation to compliance, onboarding, and monitoring, to both licensed investment business and fiduciary business. The trainee analyst will similarly assist the Compliance team with, for example, collating data for the completion of regulatory returns, and reconciling regulatory registers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with Onboarding/take on of new clients and entities in both the fund and fiduciary/trust areas of the business – undertake collation and review of CDD, preparation of initial Relationship Risk Assessments (“RRA”), identifying where further information is required.
• Set up and help maintain trackers for monitoring the onboarding progress of clients during fund closes.
• Assist with remediating CDD deficiency tasks in Acumen (database) from Take On and RRA reviews.
• Preparation of periodic reviews including the updating of RRAs and helping maintain the trackers for monitoring the progress of completion of the RRAs.
• Register and record keeping – managing client data on various systems and maintaining accurate and timely records.
• Attend to other ad-hoc client requests or other duties as required by the team, including project work.
• Undertake the above tasks in accordance with the policies and procedures and controls (PCCs) and suggest efficiencies and changes or workflows to enhance business service delivery.
• Contribute to the positive compliance culture by undertaking any training in a timely manner and being responsive to questions from the other business teams and sign posting them on where necessary.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work within a team.
• Strong IT capabilities, especially to adapt to new systems quickly.
• Self-motivated, organised and able to work to deadlines.
• Good problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to solving problems.
• High levels of accuracy.
Qualifications and expertise:
• The role would ideally suit an A level school leaver or graduate looking to launch their career in the finance sector. Equally applications from anyone with 1-2 years’ experience in the finance sector fund, perhaps seeking a change in direction, would also be welcome. Training and support will be adapted to suit the preferred candidate.
• Either be studying towards a recognised professional qualification such as ICA or CGI (ICSA) or willing to commence study towards such qualification.
