About The Reformer Studio

The Reformer Studio is a leading provider of premium Reformer Pilates, renowned for our commitment to excellence, innovation, and building a strong, inclusive community. We have a loyal following across our locations and are proud to work with a diverse range of clients, including elite athletes and complete beginners. Our Birmingham studio is well-established, and we are now looking for a dedicated Studio Manager to lead the studio, optimise performance, and support future growth in the region.

Role Overview

As the Birmingham Studio Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure exceptional class quality, and grow the studio's presence in the wider Birmingham area. You will lead the instructor team, manage client experience, and collaborate closely with Head Office to support regional development, including identifying opportunities for future studio expansion in the West Midlands.

Key Responsibilities

1. Studio Leadership & Team Management
  • Manage, support, and develop a team of experienced Reformer Pilates instructors.
  • Organise staff schedules, cover, and holidays to ensure smooth operations.
  • Deliver up to 15–20 hours of teaching per week, leading by example with high-quality instruction.
  • Monitor class delivery through regular observation and feedback to maintain excellence.
  • Foster a motivated, collaborative studio culture with open communication and growth opportunities.

2. Client Experience & Community Engagement
  • Build lasting relationships with clients, creating a warm, inclusive, and professional studio environment.
  • Drive community initiatives to encourage client retention and referrals.
  • Expand and diversify offerings (e.g. private sessions, corporate classes, pre/postnatal) based on client demand.
  • Represent The Reformer Studio brand with professionalism and passion at all times.

3. Studio Operations & Growth Strategy
  • Oversee all studio operations, from cleanliness and stock to equipment care.
  • Manage local marketing efforts, partnerships, and outreach to drive class attendance.
  • Collaborate with Head Office to identify and assess opportunities for regional growth and new site locations.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and uphold top-tier service standards.

4. Business & Financial Development
  • Monitor and report on studio KPIs, including occupancy, retention, and revenue.
  • Work with Head Office to review pricing structures and identify local market trends.
  • Support business development activities, such as local events, collaborations, and seasonal promotions.
  • Contribute ideas and feedback to support broader business strategy and expansion plans.

Training & Onboarding

Your first few weeks will include tailored onboarding with our team at Head Office in Nottingham to ensure a smooth transition into the role. This includes:

  • Training on CRM and studio management systems.
  • Immersion in The Reformer Studio brand, values, and operations.
  • Strategy sessions on regional growth opportunities in Birmingham and beyond.
  • A flexible arrangement for time spent in Nottingham will be agreed upon based on your needs and availability.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong leadership and team management experience, ideally in a fitness or wellness setting.
  • A passion for Pilates, health, and community-building.
  • Operational know-how, with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident communicator with excellent people skills.
  • Business-minded, with experience managing performance metrics and implementing strategy.
  • Previous studio management or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
