About Us

At Cerca Magnetics Limited, we share a common goal: to make a real difference to people's lives through technological innovation. If you are motivated by meaningful work and want to contribute to cutting-edge medical technology, joining our passionate team of technical and business experts could be the right career move for you.

Cerca Magnetics Limited (Cerca) was founded in 2020 and works in partnership with The University of Nottingham and Magnetic Shields Limited. The team has commercialised the world's most advanced functional brain scanner, a lightweight wearable device that uses Optically Pumped Magnetometers (OPMs) to measure magnetic fields generated by the brain.

Unlike traditional scanners such as MRI systems, our technology can be worn by both adults and children, allowing participants to move freely during scanning. This capability has the potential to transform research and clinical practice in neurological conditions, including epilepsy, mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and dementia.

Following initial sales into the research market, Cerca's vision is to make this technology available to healthcare providers worldwide and revolutionise functional brain imaging. We are currently progressing towards medical approvals and scaling our operations to support future growth.

The Role

As Cerca continues to expand, we are recruiting a Stores & Quality Coordinator to take ownership of stores and the flow of goods in and out of the business, and to carry out quality inspections on incoming and outgoing materials.

Reporting to the Stock & Supply Chain Manager, this is a hands-on position with two clear purposes. The first is running goods-in, goods-out and the stock room day to day. The second is inspection: you will be responsible for receiving, inspecting and booking in goods, ensuring materials meet purchase order and specification requirements before entering stock. You will also inspect finished orders prior to dispatch, helping maintain the high standards required as we continue our journey towards medical device manufacture under ISO 13485.

On the stores side, you will run day-to-day operations, including goods-in, goods-out, stock room organisation, stock control, inventory accuracy, picking, packing and shipping. You will coordinate courier collections, maintain traceability records, support purchasing activities and ensure stock transactions are accurately recorded within our ERP/MRP systems. As we settle into our new premises, you will also help set up and organise the stock room so that materials are correctly located, labelled and easy to find.

This role requires someone with a minimum of three years' experience working within a warehouse, stores, stock control, logistics or manufacturing environment. You will be organised, detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a practical approach and a willingness to support wherever needed.

Above all, we are looking for someone who is prepared to roll up their sleeves and contribute to the success of a small, fast-growing business where no task is considered beneath anyone and teamwork is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record inspection results and maintain full traceability of materials and shipments, including relevant lot and batch information.
  • Receive, check, book in and store goods accurately and safely.
  • Organise and maintain the stock room, including locations, labelling, layout and housekeeping, so that stock is easy to find and safely stored.
  • Verify outbound orders against requirements prior to dispatch, ensuring only compliant products are shipped.
  • Pick, pack and dispatch customer orders accurately and on time, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipments, liaising with couriers and freight forwarders as required.
  • Maintain dispatch records, proof-of-delivery documentation and shipment traceability information.
