Strongly encouraging applications from trans people and the wider LGBTQIA+ community
About Anne
Anne is a not-for-profit healthcare provider offering safe, expert care for trans+ people of all ages.
Our mission goes beyond healthcare. We believe in dignity, inclusion, and compassionate, person-centred support for every individual. As a not-for-profit, we reinvest all revenue to make gender-affirming care more accessible, offering free or subsidised services for those who otherwise couldn't afford them.
The Role
As a small, ambitious communications team, we're looking for a versatile content creator who can own our day-to-day social media presence whilst supporting wider marketing activities. You'll be a key member of our comms team, working collaboratively but with plenty of autonomy to shape Anne's digital voice and grow our online community.
You'll produce compelling video content and graphics, design thoughtful social stories, and help grow our social presence across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, and beyond.
This role will suit someone who thrives in a smaller organisation where you can see the direct impact of your work, enjoys variety in your day-to-day tasks, and is comfortable rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of our social media strategy, from planning to execution
- Work closely with the comms team to ensure consistent messaging across all touchpoints
- Produce, film, edit, and publish short-form, engaging videos that align with Anne's mission and speak authentically to trans+ people and allies. Sometimes this could be editing interviews into engaging snippets, other times it could be creating short engaging reels to promote our healthcare services
- Design compelling social media graphics and cards to promote our healthcare resources and campaign activity to respond to wider news affecting the trans+ community
- Manage, schedule, and maintain a content calendar across our key social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook)
- React swiftly to trending topics, trans community news, healthcare updates, and breaking stories, coming up with ideas for relevant, timely content
- Monitor analytics and use insights to improve engagement, reach, and audience growth
- Support wider marketing campaigns and initiatives across email, web, and other channels as needed
- Occasionally support with copywriting for website updates, newsletters, or campaign materials
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven video editing and production skills specifically in a social media context
- Proficient in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, CapCut) and design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
- Experience managing and posting across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, etc.
- Experience with social media scheduling platforms (e.g., Later, Buffer, Hootsuite)
- Confident in developing content suited to each platform's best practices and requirements
- Portfolio demonstrating platform-specific content creation
- Experience working in a small to medium-sized organisation where you've needed to be hands-on and adaptable
- Self-starter who can take initiative and doesn't need constant direction
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities and switch between creative and administrative tasks
Essential Values & Understanding:
- Experience in healthcare, charity, or LGBTQIA+ sectors
- Understanding of the trans+ healthcare landscape and commitment to authentic representation
- Proactive and creative; comfortable pitching new ideas, formats, and campaigns to grow reach and engagement
- A go-getter mindset with the ability to spot trends early and turn them into compelling content quickly
- Compassionate and thoughtful about trans+ healthcare, representation, and community voices
- Comfortable working in a small, fast-moving, purposeful not-for-profit team
- Comfortable working with autonomy whilst collaborating closely with a small team
Inclusion at Anne
We especially welcome applications from trans people, non-binary people, and wider LGBTQIA+ individuals. Representation is vital; our content should reflect the community we serve.
