Due to the success and popularity of our current programmes, our education department is expanding, and we are looking for an individual who is passionate about supporting people in their journey through education and into employment. The main function of this role is the delivery of Argyle Community Trust’s employment and provisions across all our Devon and Cornwall based programmes.

The post of Skills Tutor is a full-time post with responsibility to deliver a range of ACT employability provisions in our Devon and Cornwall locations. This work includes, but is not exclusive to, our adult education programmes, this includes work with Cornwall County Council on their YEP project and their Post 16 EHCP project and delivery on the Shared Prosperity project in Plymouth. 

Argyle Community Trust is seeking a motivated and inspiring Skills Tutor to join our Education & Employment team. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering engaging, practical learning experiences that help young people and adults build confidence, gain new skills, and move positively into education, training or employment.

We are looking for someone who can:

●     Motivate, support and inspire young people to achieve
●     Build strong relationships with learners facing barriers and challenges

●     Deliver engaging sessions that combine employability, personal development and wellbeing

●     Work flexibly across centres and outreach locations in Cornwall and Plymouth

As a registered charity, the Community Trust works, in close conjunction with Plymouth Argyle Football Club and with many people across several sectors where sport has proven to be the ideal tool for creating exciting and bespoke learning opportunities.
