St. Rocco's Hospice is looking to recruit a Shop Manager for our newly relaunched boutique shop in Stockton Heath. Stockton Heath is a vibrant village with an amazing mix of places to eat and a lovely shopping centre. The St. Rocco’s shop is very much embedded within the community we serve, and we are looking for a Manager who will embrace this.
The position would ideally suit someone with a managerial and commercial background in retail, someone who has high standards in customer service and a flair for visual merchandising.
You will be expected to support a well experienced volunteer team, manage stock levels and be commercially astute to help generate income for St. Rocco’s Hospice.
This role requires innovative thinking, autonomous working and the ability to develop strong productive relationships. Excellent communication, organisational, planning, scheduling and problem-solving skills are essential.
37.5 hours per week – 5 days over 7 (weekend work). Typical hours of work 9am - 5pm.
Main Duties & Responsibilities (please see Job description for further details):
You will be responsible for:
• Managing the day to day running of the shop.
• Optimising sales.
• Maintaining effective stock management and merchandising.
• Managing and training shop volunteers.
• Carrying out shop administration.
• Ensuring adequate security.
• Enforcing health and safety policy and procedures.
Who We Are Looking for:
- A proven track record of successful commercial retail managerial experience.
- A manager who places their team at the forefront of decision making
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Computer literate with knowledge of using Outlook and teams as being advantageous.
- Able to work
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Someone who has the ability to problem solve and use initiative
