<div><strong>The Role</strong><br><br>As a Senior Support Worker, you will help create a supportive environment, enabling children and young people to have a safe and enjoyable experience where they feel included, heard and cared for.<br><br>Specifically, you will plan and oversee a varied programme of leisure activities and outings, working closely with children, young people and families to ensure each experience is safe, enjoyable and tailored to individual needs.<br><br>Alongside this, you will manage daily team supervision, support staff development, contribute to care planning and uphold safeguarding and quality standards.<br><br>Additionally, you will:<br><br>- Lead briefings to plan and review daily sessions<br>- Maintain accurate records and share child-specific information securely<br>- Administer medication and ensure high standards of personal care<br>- Be the key point of contact for children and families as needed<br>- Contribute to continuous improvement alongside the wider management team<br><br>Please note, due to our open and collaborative working environment and the nature of our work with children and adults with disabilities, all our office-based roles can experience periods of elevated noise levels and some elements of disruption.<br><br><strong>About You</strong><br><br>To be considered as a Senior Support Worker, you will need:<br><br>- The ability to lead a team, share best practice and support development<br>- The ability to empathise and respond effectively in challenging situations<br>- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills<br>- Flexibility to work shifts including sleep-ins as needed<br>- To be aware of the Children’s Home Regulations 2015<br>- A good level of IT literacy<br>- A Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or willingness to work towards it (funding available with Learning Agreement)<br>- A current first aid certificate or willingness to train<br><br>All staff are required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check. Please make it known if you are on the DBS update service.<br><br>Other organisations may call this role Children’s Residential Support Worker, Lead Support Worker, Care Team Leader, Children’s Home Senior, or Childcare Supervisor.<br><br></div>

We are now looking for a Senior Support Worker to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
