We are looking for a high performing individual to develop and lead our Speciality Chemicals Commercial Team as a Senior Sales Manager.
About the role:
This is your opportunity to join an expanding Commercial Department. Due to a recent acquisition John Hogg is looking for a Senior Sales Manager who can combine industry knowledge with a proven track record in B2B selling to support in developing and deliver the sales strategy.
Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development
- Support the development of the Speciality Chemicals business strategy.
- Communicate and execute the organisation’s sales strategy in alignment with overall business goals.
- Collaborate with the executive team to ensure sales initiatives support long-term growth.
- Understand the trends of the defined markets and apply this knowledge to identify and execute appropriate commercial strategies.
Team Leadership and Management
- Build, lead and motivate a high-performance sales team, including recruiting, coaching, training and performance management.
- Set and monitor individual and team sales targets and KPIs.
Sales Planning and Forecasting
- Develop sales plans, budgets and forecasts.
- Monitor and analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities.
- Build and effectively manage a robust sales pipeline to deliver the growth target aligned with company’s business plan.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key customers, agents, distributors, and stakeholders to delivery customer satisfaction.
- Lead activities to retain and grow value with existing customers through positively collaborate with internal functions such as Operations, Technical and Customer Services to make sure all teams understand their deliverables to meet customer requirements.
- Manage escalations when necessary to ensure timely and positive resolution balancing the needs of the customer and the business.
Business Development
- Work with the Marketing team to develop, select and prioritise pipeline opportunities and develop a sales and marketing plan to win new business.
- Lead the execution of the sales plan cross all functions such as Operations, Technical, Purchasing, and Logistics.
About you:
Qualification: A degree in Textiles/Chemistry would be desired to support with the technical selling, this is not a requirement providing the candidate has relevant industry knowledge.
Experience: Extensive knowledge and experience of either Chemical sales or Textile processing, broad experience in international sales management, including customer relationship and key account management experience, experience in direct management of sales team and indirect influencing across functions.
