As a part of Secret Mode’s QA team, you will be responsible for testing games from external development partners and ensuring these live up to and exceed our customers’ high expectations. 

Successful candidates will work alongside QA Leadership to assess and report on game quality. They’ll help develop and maintain test plans and produce detailed bug reports where requirements are not met, assisting with mentorship and development of junior QA team members. 

In your new role you will:


·        Create, maintain and execute test cases and test plans and provide clear and concise reports.
·        Mentor QA testers on Quality Assurance testing approach and best practice.
·        Test and report against product milestone requirements.
·        Perform QA related support tasks for external development teams.
·        Become a knowledge holder for quality of each product.
·        Co-ordinate and communicate with the different. production, development and external QA teams involved in each project.
·        Aid testing processes across a variety of target platforms.
·        Provide feedback and suggestions to improve quality and game experience.
·        Assist in the transition of games, updates and services. across multiple environments through to live release. Test and report issues using build verification testing to ensure seamless delivery to customers. 
·        Check games adhere to all 1st party certification requirements (Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo).
·        Additionally, work on improving the operational efficiency of the QA team by assessing the current quality assurance practices and incorporating new QA strategies.

 

 To be successful you will have:


·        A proven track record of at least 4+ years with games or software QA testing.
·        Experience with mentorship and support of team members.
·        An excellent understanding of database and bug-tracking software. (Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.)
·        Familiarity with multiple gaming platforms and genres.
·        Self-motivated and proactive mindset. Identifies problems in advance and presents innovative test approaches.
·        Excellent level of Quality Assurance knowledge with game development\components.
·        Experienced games player with the ability to familiarise with game-play elements rapidly.


 It would be an advantage if you have:


·        Experience with compliance testing across Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft platforms.
·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
·        Familiarity of working alongside external QA teams.
·        Current knowledge of platform specific certification requirements.

Leamington Studio


This role is studio based, but flexible, working at least two days in our Leamington Spa studio each week.
