Bluebox is a software company which has been specialising in the aviation sector for over 15 years. Our solutions deliver in-flight entertainment (IFE), wireless streaming, onboard retail, and other critical elements for the emerging ‘digital cabin’ that help airlines engage and entertain their passengers and earn all-important ancillary revenue in the process.

Due to the current COVID pandemic, the industry has faced unparalleled challenges and many airlines are operating at reduced capacity. But with our flagship product Bluebox Wow portable wireless IFE, we are delivering safe, touch-free entertainment, shopping, and digital capabilities to airlines, which is resulting in increased demand for our solutions. As a PHP Developer you will be involved in designing, writing and testing their systems which entertain customers all across the globe.
We’re looking for someone with these skills and experience
PHP, Javascript and UX Web Development
Experience of Drupal, Joomla, Wordpress etc.
Knowledge of Bootstrap, jQuery, LESS/SASS , Angular, Node and React will be beneficial
MySQL or SQL
Use of tools such as JIRA, Bitbucket, Git
Linux
Good Bachelors/Postgrad Degree in a relevant Technical Discipline
Demonstrable experience in web application development

What we offer:
In return, the successful PHP Developer will receive a salary of between £40,000 and £55,000 depending on experience. In addition to this, Bluebox offers an attractive package including 33 days annual leave (including public holidays), staff Benefits package including EAP (Perkbox), workplace pension, death in service benefits. We have a pleasant office environment which is very close to the railway station and bus routes and there is potential for occasional overseas travel.
