 As an integral part of the Secret Mode QA team, you’ll be responsible for testing games from external development partners and ensuring these meet 1st party requirements across various platforms including Microsoft, Sony & Nintendo. You will need to have strong mentorship and communication skills as well as experience of at least two years in a similar role.

If you are successful in your application, you will work alongside QA Leadership at Secret Mode to assess compliance requirements. You will help develop and maintain compliance test plans, produce detailed bug reports where requirements are not being met, communicate with 1st parties and aid with the planning and submission of game builds.

·        Check games adhere to all 1st party certification requirements.

·        Help develop and maintain test plans focused on 1st party requirements. (Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo)

·        Keep up to date with changes to compliance requirements across supported platforms. (TRC, XR and Lotchecks)

·        Aid the Compliance Lead with 1st Party communication on issues and helping to arrange submission plans.

·        Help manage build submissions and uploads to each platform’s portal.

·        Mentor QA testers on compliance testing approach and best practice.

·        Produce and maintain clear bug reports for external development partners.

·        Test and report against product milestone requirements.

·        Perform QA related support tasks for external development teams.

·        Become a knowledge holder for compliance quality of each product.

·        Aid testing processes across a variety of target platforms.

·        Provide feedback and suggestions to improve quality and game experience.

·        Assist in the transition of games, updates and services across multiple environments through to live release. Test and report issues using build verification testing to ensure seamless delivery to customers. 

 

·        A proven track record of at least two years QA testing across all major platforms. (Sony ,  Microsoft, Nintendo)

·        Experienced in evaluation and testing of console compliance on at least two console platforms.

·        Proactive and self-motivated, identifies problems in advance and presents innovative test approaches.

·        Excellent level of Quality Assurance knowledge with game development\components.

·        A detailed understanding of database and bug-tracking software. (Azure DevOps, JIRA, etc.)

·        Experienced games player with the ability to familiarise with game-play elements rapidly.

 

·        Experience with compliance testing across Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft platforms.

·        Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

·        Familiarity of working alongside external QA teams.

·        Current knowledge of platform specific certification requirements.

This role is studio based, but flexible, working at least two days in our Leamington Spa studio each week.
