Purpose of the role:
Due to growth, Affinia is recruiting for a Semi-Senior to come and join the Tax department in our Harlow office, formally known as GWC, we became a part of Affinia in Oct 2024 and we are now looking for a dynamic and detail-orientated individual who may have started their ATT (Association of Tax Technicians) qualification or has recently completed it and looking to start their CTA (Chartered Tax Adviser) qualification. Whatever stage of studying, we would be interested in talking to you.

Reporting into our Tax Manager, joining us as a Tax Semi-Senior you will be able to study for your professional qualifications whilst working as part of a team for clients such as high net worth individuals, trusts, estates, and companies, to name a few.

Accountabilities:
• Supporting ongoing project workflow and delivering updates to team and clients.
• Implementing and controlling general internal processes for the Tax team.
• Assisting with the preparation of personal, trust and estate tax returns and other related forms
• Working with a wide range of clients, including private individuals, trusts, and estates
• Management of key deadlines
• Advising clients of their liabilities
• Ad hoc project work
• Constant and effective liaison with all stakeholders including HMRC.
• Building and maintaining key relationships.
• Assisting with general business support and administrative duties of the advisory teams.

Skills/Qualifications:
• 1-2 years’ experience working for a Tax Practice
• Excellent diligence.
• Strong critical thinking skills.
• Excellent organisational and time management.
• Effective communication and interpersonal. 
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
