Ampowr's business in Benelux is growing at a steep speed and we're happy to welcome new people to join the rockship! We are actively looking for an ambitious Sales Director who can capitalize on the enormous opportunities brought by Energy Storage Solutions and lead our sales strategy in BLX.
In this role, you will be responsible for leading Ampowr's sales strategy and execution of full value-stack offerings (BESS, EMS, Energy-as-a-Service) across the Benelux.
You will also own responsibility for high-level client acquisition and partnership development, and ensure that revenue targets are met in strategic verticals such as Critical Infrastructure (Data Centers, Defense, Airports, and Transportation Infrastructure).
You will report directly to the CEO and work with a growing Sales team, featured by a healthy mix of innovation of experience, and collaborate closely with Marketing, Inside Sales, and Technical Teams.
To be successful in this role, you are expected to:
- Define and execute the Benelux sales strategy aligned with company goals.
- Lead and grow a high-performance sales team across field and inside sales.
- Drive C-level engagement with enterprise and public sector customers.
- Own high-value deal negotiation and closing.
- Build partnerships with EPCs, integrators, and energy service companies.
- Forecast revenue, manage pipeline, and track KPIs in CRM.
- Ensure compliance with Ampowr’s certified frameworks (ISO27001, NIS2, etc.).
- Represent Ampowr at industry events, conferences, and government briefings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ year-experience in B2B within the energy sector (specialization in battery storage or renewable energy is preferred).
- Proficiency in English and Dutch languages.
- Strong understanding of energy markets, regulations and trends in the Netherlands.
- Passion and eagerness to explore the opportunities of BESS in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Flexibility and passion to work in a dynamic start-up environment striving for sustainability.
- Willingness to travel as required.
