About Hourglass
Hourglass is the party connecting people with climate action. We believe change begins on the dance floor.
Created by Caius Pawson (Founder of Young and Murmur) and Gideon Berger (Block9, NYC Downlow), Hourglass brings together artists, promoters, creatives and climate organisations to create unforgettable cultural moments that inspire collective action.
Hourglass launched in June 2026 as the closing event of Harry Styles’ Meltdown Festival at London’s Southbank Centre, attracting the largest audience ever for a free event on the Riverside Terrace. The series is now expanding internationally, beginning with New York in October, with plans to grow into other cities around the world.
Each event combines world-class club music with meaningful opportunities for audiences to engage with climate action, ensuring that people leave feeling inspired, connected and empowered.
Hourglass is produced in partnership with Gideön Berger Studios and local production teams in each city.
About Murmur
Murmur is a UK charity that works with artists, the music industry and the visual arts to accelerate action on the climate crisis. Through campaigns, partnerships and cultural projects, Murmur helps artists use their influence to create meaningful environmental impact.
Hourglass forms part of Murmur’s Change the Culture programme, which aims to make climate action feel culturally relevant, exciting and aspirational.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced live event project manager to help deliver Hourglass as it expands internationally.
This is a hands-on role sitting between Murmur, Gideon Berger Studio, local promoters, production teams, artists and climate organisations. You’ll keep multiple partners aligned, ensure each event is delivered successfully and maximise both the cultural impact and the operational success of every Hourglass event.
Alongside delivering exceptional events, you’ll help ensure every Hourglass creates genuine opportunities for people to engage with climate action beyond the dancefloor.
Responsibilities
You’ll:
- Lead project management for Hourglass events from Murmur’s perspective.
- Coordinate the work of promoters, producers, creative teams and partner organisations
- Co-author and maintain production budgets and master schedules.
- Manage timelines, budgets, reporting and project delivery alongside the producer and ensure key dates and milestones are communicated to relevant stakeholders and deadlines are met. Manage weekly or one off project meetings for the key stakeholders, distributing agendas, ensuring notes are taken and actions are delegated and completed by relevant parties.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure all travel, visa and other essential arrangements are aligned
- Work with artists and their teams to support climate messaging where appropriate.
- Coordinate marketing, PR and social media activity alongside Murmur and local partners.
- Build relationships with local climate organisations in every city.
- Deliver the “Afterglow” programme, connecting attendees with opportunities for further climate action.
- Oversee event messaging, branding and audience engagement on the ground.
- Manage volunteers and ensure appropriate health and safety processes are in place.
- Provide regular financial and progress reporting to Murmur.
- Help maximise both the impact and long-term sustainability of the Hourglass programme.
About You
You’ll have:
- Proven track record in delivering live music events, festivals or large-scale cultural projects.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong budgeting and planning experience.
- Experience across communications, marketing, PR or social media for live events.
- A genuine interest in climate action and an understanding of how culture can help drive change.
- A fluency and love for club music
You’ll be:
- Calm under pressure.
- Highly organised.
- An excellent communicator.
- Comfortable balancing creative ambition with practical delivery.
- Equally confident in production meetings, artist conversations and partnership discussions.
- Motivated by building something new with global potential.
- Passionate about delivering events that create both unforgettable experiences and meaningful social impact
