Our access to capital and real estate is important but our most valuable asset is our team, and we are delighted now to be recruiting for a Preconstruction Manager.

The role
· Reporting to the Preconstruction Director, we are looking for an ambitious individual to work in our preconstruction team.
· You will create and update construction schedules detailing key components including power, permitting, procurement and construction deliverables per metro.
· You will play an active part working with our customers ensuring successful customer onboarding and customer site onboarding.
· You will assist with defining construction strategy in each metro.
· You will work with the internal Commercial Team to help create budgets for each metro and refine budgets as the design evolves.
· You will work with the internal Commercial Team to onboard General Contractors (GC), Mechanical & Electrical Contractors and Equipment Suppliers in each metro.

· You will develop and continuously update tender and Apto requirement documentation.
· You will run tender processes with the Commercial Team and appoint contractors as per agreed construction strategy.
· You will work closely with external partners (Joint Venture Partners, Statutory Bodies, Consultants, Private Landowners etc.) to progress pre and post land sale due diligence and preconstruction activities.
· You will work with internal design team to help create safe, sustainable, secure and cost effective designs.
· You will travel to metros to undertake preconstruction activities, and onboard and train local Construction Managers, and provide guidance leading up to key construction milestones.

Basic Qualifications

· Degree in construction management, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, civil engineering OR seven years equivalent experience.
· 5+ years relevant preconstruction or construction experience with industrial or commercial construction projects.
· Demonstrate ability to manage General Contractors and Vendors through full project life cycle.
· Demonstrated ability to lead €20m+ contracts.
Preferred Qualifications
· Seven years of construction experience in the European data centre industry.
· Experience of working with large data centre providers in multiple European metros.
· Experience creating data centre schedules from scratch.
· Experience managing DC tenders.
· Experience with value engineering at preconstruction stage.
· Proven track record in creating high quality consistent documentation for processes, standards and procedures.
· Experience managing site due diligence activities.

· Ability to deliver projects using Building Information Modelling (BIM) software.

Location
Dublin. 30% travel across Europe.
