The Role

As a Play and Youth Clubs Supervisor, you will manage, plan and deliver our play and youth schemes for children and young people with disabilities who are on short breaks.

Specifically, supporting children and young people to gain enjoyment and development through play and leisure, you will ensure they are safe and feel valued.

You will motivate, guide, role model and support staff in building relationships with children and young people, enabling them to engage effectively, as well as protecting the children from harm.

Additionally, you will:

- Ensure that the scheme is suitably resourced with staff and equipment
- Lead before and after ‘briefings’ to plan and evaluate sessions
- Establish a ‘team’ ethos to support the delivery of services
- Identify staff training needs, good performance and areas for development
- Get involved in scheme activities and oversee all aspect of care

Please note, due to our open and collaborative working environment and the nature of our work with children and adults with disabilities, all our office-based roles can experience periods of elevated noise levels and some elements of disruption.

About You

To be considered as a Play and Youth Clubs Supervisor, you will need:


- Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities
- The ability to lead a team, encouraging them to share best practice and exchange knowledge, skills and ideas in a supportive environment
- The ability to record information accurately to meet the needs of the child, White Lodge and Ofsted
- A good level of IT literacy
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- A current first aid certificate (or the willingness to be trained)
