Based at Booker Park, Stocklake Park, and Pebble Brook Schools, Aylesbury
When you’re in the business of transforming the lives of babies, children, and young people, you need an exceptional team — and at Pace, that’s exactly what we have.
Our passion is helping children with neurodisabilities reach their full potential, and our committed staff make that possible every single day.
If you’re ready to make a genuine difference in your next role, using your skills as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist and developing your expertise along the way, you might be the person we’re looking for.
About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated, specialist therapy team.
Band 5 therapists will enter a supported rotational post, designed to build confidence, breadth of experience, and core paediatric competencies through structured supervision and development across commissioned school settings.
Band 6 therapists will be expected to work with greater autonomy, applying established clinical reasoning skills while continuing to develop specialist knowledge and professional judgement within commissioned services.
You will support children and young people aged 5–16 across our specialist schools in Aylesbury — Booker Park, Stocklake Park, and Pebble Brook Schools — delivering high-quality assessment and intervention in areas such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, hand skills, motor development, and functional independence.
You’ll work as part of a small, supportive and professionally accountable therapy team, with close supervision and collaboration from senior therapists and specialist practitioners.
While all post holders are supported by senior therapists, Band 6 clinicians will be expected to take a more active role in clinical decision-making and team contribution.
If you have an interest in sensory integration, assistive technology, or functional skills development, we would particularly welcome your application. Experience in schools or multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable, but not essential — the right attitude and willingness to develop matter most.
About You
You may be newly qualified or already working at Band 5 or Band 6 level and are interested in developing your paediatric Occupational Therapy practice within specialist school settings.
At Band 6 level, you will be confident in managing your own workload and contributing proactively to team discussions, while Band 5 clinicians will demonstrate readiness to learn, reflect, and develop within a structured rotational role.
Above all, you align with Pace’s organisational values: Child & family centred • Compassionate • Specialist • Innovative • Dedicated • Aspirational
Pace is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified individuals regardless of age, disability, gender identity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation.
Pace is a safer recruitment organisation, and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
Interviews will be held on a rolling basis, so early application is strongly encouraged.
