Operations Manager
Full-time | £44,774 - £47,125 per annum | Based at SWA Women's Centre, Stafford

Every year, Staffordshire Women's Aid helps hundreds of adults and children move from crisis to safety. This role sits right at the centre of how we do that, and how we grow to do more of it.

We're looking for an Operations Manager who can lead our front-line services through a period of real transformation: strengthening what already works, building the systems and people around it that let it scale, and making sure every service we run is safe, well-governed and genuinely empowering for the women who use it. You'll join our Senior Leadership Team, working alongside our CEO to shape and deliver a five-year strategy that will define what SWA looks like for the next generation of women who need us.

It's a big, varied role - part strategist, part safeguarding lead, part people manager, part finance partner - and no two weeks will look the same. If you want a job where the work you do on a Tuesday afternoon changes what happens to someone in crisis on a Wednesday night, this is it.

Our values
Everything we do at SWA, every decision, every relationship, every service,  is underpinned by three values: Passion, Empowerment and Trust. We're looking for someone who already leads this way.

The essentials

  • 37 hours per week, full time
  • Direct line management of 3 x Service Managers
  • A full driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential
  • Subject to DBS check (and possibly additional security checks for some settings)

How to apply
Please submit your CV along with answers to three (3) short application questions. Full details of the role, responsibilities and person specification are found here: Operations Manager.pdf

Benefits

Holiday: 28 days' holiday per year, plus statutory holidays
Pension: SWA contributes 3% of annual salary, subject to staff contribution under auto-enrolment
Overtime/TOIL: Overtime is unpaid; time off in lieu is taken in consultation with your line manager

Notes

This post is open to female applicants only, as being female is a genuine occupational requirement under Schedule 9, Paragraph 1 of the Equality Act 2010, given the nature of the specialist support SWA provides.
