Office Manager
Aura Power’s vibrant Bristol head office is the heartbeat of our business. As we continue to expand, ensuring our workspace runs smoothly and efficiently is critical to enabling our team’s best work. This role is essential to that mission, providing dedicated on-site support at our Bristol Office for a minimum of four days a week. For the right candidate, this position offers significant room for growth, including opportunities to get involved in HR and to collaborate and make a meaningful impact across both our London and Glasgow offices.

What you’ll be doing:
- Bristol Office and Facilities Management: Manage office access and building maintenance, including landlord liaison. Oversee supplier contracts, and ensure all office supplies are replenished using responsible sourcing. Lead on rent reviews and office refurbishments and expansion.
- Health & Safety Management: Propose, implement and review policies, conduct risk assessments, and ensure sufficient first aiders and fire marshals across all three offices with required refresher training.
- Management of Employee Onboarding and Offboarding experience: Oversee the full lifecycle, including welcoming new joiners on their first day, arranging home office equipment and managing IT onboarding/offboarding with our external IT provider.
- Organising Socials and events throughout the year: Plan and publicise our annual Summer and Christmas parties, and organise ad-hoc team-building socials, ensuring alignment across the Bristol, London and Glasgow offices.
- Primary point of contact with our external IT service provider: Triage ad-hoc IT queries from across the company, escalate issues as needed, and assist the Business Operations team with IT changes related to data strategy or cyber security.
What experience you’ll need/ Is this the job for you?
Essential:
- This is a standalone role so previous experience in an administrative or office management role is essential.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks or responsibilities simultaneously and prioritise effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the business.
- Responsible and proactive, with the ability to see tasks through independently.
- Good time management skills and the ability to adapt to changing deadlines.
- Reliable, with high discretion in handling confidential information.
Desirable:
- Good IT skills, including proficiency in Google workspace.
- Experience and interest in supporting HR areas of the business such as Recruitment, L&D and Wellbeing.
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and propose innovative solutions.
Where you’ll be working
Due to the nature of this role, you will be based in our Bristol office, which is located in central Bristol in Queen Square. The minimum requirement is four days a week in the office, with one day a week working from home. This role is available part-time (4 days) a week to the right candidate.
How much will you be paid?
The salary for this role ranges from £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience, pro-rated for part-time).
