JOB PURPOSE:
To manage a team of placement therapists within the NHS counselling service. To be responsible for training the placement therapists to use theNHS IAPTus platform and audit their monthly data, diaries and complete varied reports. To work with 3 x clients per week, keeping in line with BACP’s good practice management.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Management
· Responsible for placement therapists’ online IAPTus and client discharge training and support, working within a team.
· Accountable for placement therapists, supporting and nurturing their development through placement for all IAPTus queries and recovery outcomes.
· Responsible for mentoring placement therapists to meet their admin KPIs.
· Responsible for reporting any concerns/issues about a placement therapist to your line manager.
· Responsible for any client complaints and reporting to your line manager, making joint decisions to keep in line with TAC’s complaints policy and procedure.
· Responsible for covering other team leaders’ duties during absences/holidays.
· Responsible for attending line management meetings on MS Teams’ on a monthly basis as advised.
· Close liaison with NHS Admin departments and answering queries in a timely manner.
· Supporting placement therapists with any client risk letters or SPA referral.
· Responsible for coordination and management of interpreter bookings for therapists.
· Responsible for NHS liaison in respect to room bookings.
Administration
· Responsible for updating the IAPTus training manual on a monthly basis.
· Responsible for IAPTus logins, and supervisor set-up on IAPTus.
· Responsible for auditing and reporting placement therapists’ diaries management to ensure therapists are managing their diaries and following protocols correctly.
· Supporting therapists as appropriate for client discharge or referral procedures.
· Responsible for checking and reporting available slots, liaising with NHS Admin and your line manager.
· Responsible for updating the Team Leaders hand book on a monthly basis.
· Responsible for a monthly placement therapist’s non-recovery audit and diary audit; submitting in time to your line manager.
· Responsible for any client re-allocation working within the team.
· Accountable for placement therapists’ feedback for end of term or placement reports.
· Responsible for responding to your emails professionally and in a timely manner during your working hours.
Clinical Work
· Responsible for working with a case load of 3 x clients per week (all risk) and updating your clinical records onto IAPTus.
· Responsible for attending in house monthly supervision for your client work.
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:
· Qualified and accredited counsellor, counselling psychologist and/or psychotherapists (UKCP, BACP or BPS) or working towards accreditation
· Experience of working with IAPTus, and/or within an equivalent organisation.
· Experience of working within the counselling/therapy field.
· Ability to work under pressure and good time management.
· Excellent organisation skills, prioritisation skills, ability to multitask and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· An excellent logical thinker.
· Professionalism and a collaborative approach to working.
· Ability to work effectively with colleagues from other disciplines.
· High proficiency in Excel, Word, email and knowledge of using databases, including CRM and Microsoft 365. This is essential.
· Excellent organisation skills, ability to multitask and excellent attention to detail.
