Salary | £21,000 to £26,000 p/a
Hours | 40 hours a week, including Women’s fixtures and ad-hoc events where required. Flexible approach to working hours.


Role Summary  
The Media and Communications Officer will be responsible for the maintenance of the social media profile of the Foundation and be an active presence in promoting the work across the three areas, Wellbeing, Engagement and Education.   
The Primary focus for the ideal candidate will be to shoot and edit videos and photos of individuals and activities in the local community, showcasing the work of the Foundation their story through video, photography and written forms.

In addition to this skillset, the candidate will lead the design and content creation for the Foundation’s social media and website communication.
 
The individual will also be embedded within the Club’s media team to support their overall work and objectives, including taking the lead role in the media coverage of Cambridge United Women and attending First Team fixtures. 
 
Key Job Outcomes
- Capture and present engaging imagery for the Foundation’s website and Social Media channels
- Film individual case studies and session activity to tell the story of the Foundation’s work
- Work as part of the Club’s Media and Communications team to develop the Foundation’s visual brand, in line with the Football Club
- Work alongside the Head of Communications to provide exposure of Cambridge United Women and attend CUWFC First Team fixtures.
- Assist in the management and facilitation of the Foundation’s press relations, including assistance in the management of media obligations partners and other stakeholders 
- Work with Foundation and Club partners on commercial activations
- Ensure the protection and safeguarding of all staff, participants and the general public is adhered to
- Assist the Club Media Team with Club Media duties where required.
 

Person Specification

Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Full driving licence 
Creative mind-set
Commitment to creating first-class, accurate and engaging content  
Excellent camera and editing skills to produce high quality photography and video content
Good understanding of how to use Adobe Photoshop
Confidence and ability to conduct interviews with staff, participants and stakeholders to contribute to the story telling
Ability to respond and react to deadlines that arise at short notice
Knowledge of Cambridge and surrounding areas 
Prepared to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.  
In-date Safeguarding Children certificate (can be achieved upon appointment)
