An opportunity to lead the growth of a school improvement edtech platform across Australia, with committed funding, a proven methodology, and a coalition of influential education leaders already behind it.
The Managing Director will take ownership of TEP’s Australian growth, build partnerships across the school system, and establish TEP Australia as a trusted presence in the sector. The foundations described above – the Taskforce, pilot schools, the SVA partnership, the evidence base – provide the starting point. The Managing Director’s task is to convert that momentum into a sustainable, locally led operation. In practice, this means three things:
Business Development
- Lead new partnerships with schools, school systems and education bodies
- Develop and execute the business development strategy, working closely with the TEP Board to agreed growth targets
- Build relationships with senior leaders across the state, Catholic and independent school sectors, particularly in establishing relationships with groups of schools
- Identify and pursue opportunities for central commissioning
- Represent TEP Australia at conferences, sector events and in public contexts
- Report to TEP Board and steering group on pipeline and commercial progress
Strategic Leadership
- Act as the senior leader and primary representative of TEP in Australia
- Adapt and refine TEP’s operating model for the Australian education context
- Build a compelling case for engagement measurement among school leaders, policymakers and sector influencers
- Develop the TEP Australia team over time, including leading team growth
- Maximise the partnership with Social Ventures Australia
- Contribute to the broader TEP strategy as a member of the global leadership group
Delivery Oversight
- Oversee onboarding, support and retention of school partners in the initial phase
- Ensure high standards of delivery and partner satisfaction, working with UK-based product and community teams
- Manage school relationships initially, eventually transitioning delivery responsibilities to dedicated team members as the operation scales
- Partner with school leaders, helping translate engagement data into practical steps
