Bathshack is looking for a detail-oriented Management Accountant to join our Finance team. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, family-run business with operations across Ireland and the UK - as a growing business, no two days are the same, and you'll have exposure across a broad range of finance activities working closely with colleagues throughout the business and external partners. 
 
What you'll be doing 

  • Preparing journals, accruals and prepayments, and completing balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules 
  • Investigating financial variances and anomalies, providing meaningful insight and recommendations 
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, and supporting month-end close 
  • Supporting purchase ledger, sales ledger and bank reconciliations, and keeping financial records accurate and up to date 
  • Liaising with suppliers to resolve account queries, pricing discrepancies and outstanding credits 
  • Supporting audit preparation and compliance activities, and identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and controls 
 
A bit about you 

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent by experience 
  • Experience working within a trading, retail, wholesale or distribution business 
  • Proven experience preparing monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements 
  • Strong balance sheet reconciliation experience including fixed assets, accruals, prepayments and intercompany accounts 
  • Experience with cost analysis and identifying opportunities to improve cost efficiency 
  • Experience preparing and submitting VAT returns 
  • Comfortable working with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel 
 
It would be great if you have 

  • Experience working across multiple entities, currencies or jurisdictions 
  • Previous experience in a family-run or fast-growing SME 
  • Advanced financial modelling skills beyond core management accounting
