Job Summary:

About the job
As a member of the LSESU Sport and Recreation student staff team, you will assist with the coordination of all sports clubs.

You will be a key point of contact for club committees, managing Microsoft Teams communications and the sport shared inbox. You will also liaise with other universities to facilitate all BUCS and LUSL fixtures.

You will monitor event and trip form submissions, providing feedback to ensure that the risk assessments meet required standards and that budgets are appropriate.

Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for proactive, reliable individuals that have a clear understanding of the role that physical activity has within Higher Education.

Experience within an administrative role is beneficial but not required. You should have strong organisational skills and be able to communicate with a diverse range of audiences.

You should be confident in working independently, taking ownership of tasks, and using sound judgement to escalate issues to the Sport Coordinator where appropriate.

Why apply?
If you are passionate about sport and want to make a positive impact, this role offers a great opportunity to get involved in a dynamic and supportive environment.

By joining the Sport and Recreation team, you will play a key role in supporting sports club activity.

Benefits and Perks
In return for your passion and experience we offer:
  • Free LSE Students’ Union gym membership.

How we recruit

We want to ensure all systems, policies and processes are free from bias or discrimination and are fair and accessible, therefore we ask that all candidates complete our Application Process in two stages:

Part 1: Supporting Statement is all about you telling us about your suitability for the role and will be used to determine if you are shortlisted for interview. Please keep this one page maximum and do not include any personal information, e.g. name or date of birth. Please use the job description and person specification to help write this.

Part 2: (Equal Opportunities Monitoring and Contact Form) is personal information – so we can contact you if you are shortlisted for the interview. It also helps us gather and analyse demographic information about our applicants. This part will only be seen by HR and will not have any impact on shortlisting.

Application forms are formatted to ensure the equality monitoring data is removed before applications are seen by the shortlisting panel. This process allows us to ensure that the shortlisting is done in a fair and consistent manner, and all applicants are given the same opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
