We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Electrical Estimator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in estimating within the electrical and construction industry. 

Working alongside experienced estimators and project managers, you will assist in preparing cost estimates and tender submissions for a variety of commercial, industrial, and residential electrical projects. Full training and ongoing support will be provided. 

Key Responsibilities 
  • Assist in reviewing tender documents, drawings, and specifications.  
  • Support the preparation of electrical cost estimates and quotations.  
  • Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings and project documentation.  
  • Request and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations. 
  • Help prepare tender submissions and supporting documentation.  
  • Maintain estimating records, databases, and project files.  
  • Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal project teams.  
  • Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required.  
  • Learn and develop knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and industry pricing.  

Requirements 

Essential 
  • Good numerical and analytical skills.  
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.  
  • A willingness to learn and develop within the role.  
  • Full UK driving licence.  

Desirable 
  • Electrical qualification/Knowledge/Experience. 
  • Knowledge of electrical installations and building services.  
  • Experience reading technical drawings and specifications.
