We are offering part-time work between 16 and 20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, pro rata from a full time salary of £50,000 p.a. i.e. 16 hours per week salary of £20,000 p.a., 20 hours per week salary £25,000 p.a.

Main responsibilities  


  •  HR Manager will consistently deliver an efficient, pro-active and professional HR service through developing effective partnerships with everyone in the studio, from Team Members to Directors. 
  • Develop HR strategy in line with Studio requirements. 
  • Promote and exemplify studio culture
  • Assist with recruitment and selection of new Team Members. 
  • Ensure all policies and procedures comply with current Employment Law, legislation and best practice. 
  • Take a lead whilst advising and supporting Line Managers on all Employee Relations issues, including performance management; sickness and absence; disciplinary and grievance procedures. 
  • Work closely with Line Managers to develop Team Member skills including highlighting needs and recommendations made through the Team Member appraisal process. 
  • Provide day-to-day HR support to our team, answering queries and resolving issues with empathy and efficiency.
  • Carry out all HR administration tasks required
  • Carry out onboarding process. 
  • Ensure KPIs are updated and advise where there are concerns and take/advise on effective action to meet the KPIs.
  • Maintain BreatheHR management information system.
  • Prepare agenda for and chair monthly Director’s HR meeting. 
  • Liaise with payroll provider with the collation and submission of monthly payroll, uploading payslips and reports as required.
  • Assist with Health and Safety as required.
 

 Personal Specification


Qualifications: Degree in HR or suitable equivalent
Relevant experience: 
  • 5 years minimum
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations  
  • Proven experience as a HR Manager or other HR Executive with strong leadership skills. 
  • Experience in advising and managing grievance and disciplinary investigations. 
  • Knowledge of BreatheHR MIS
 

 Aptitude, skills and abilities


  • In-depth knowledge of modern HR practices and the ability to write and implement policy.  
  • Ability to interpret legislation and provide accurate advice.
  • Strong written skills with proven ability to draft policies, procedures and reports.  
  • Have commercial awareness, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Effective relationship building, networking and influencing skills.  
  • IT and computer literate, especially in Microsoft Word applications.  
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of nurturing a positive work environment and managing diverse team dynamics

Bonus 
  • Experience working in a creative workplace such as a design/film studio
