Expected to work in the office a minimum one day per week.
Contract Type and Hours: 12 months Fixed Term Contract.
17.5 – 21 hours per week (2 ½ - 3 days per week).

Job purpose
Archery GB is seeking a proactive and experienced HR Generalist to support all aspects of human resources within the organisation. The role involves generalist HR including, but not limited to, managing recruitment, employee relations, HR policies, and HR administration, aligning with the organisation’s mission to develop and promote archery across the UK.
As the national governing body (NGB) for archery in the UK, Archery GB is committed to fostering an inclusive and high-performance culture, both in sport and the workplace. The HR Generalist will work closely with senior management, department heads, and operational teams to ensure HR best practices are embedded across the organisation.
This position requires a proactive and organised individual with experience in HR, ideally within a sporting or non-profit environment.
Key responsibilities
- Acting as the first point of contact for all HR queries, provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees on a range of HR matters, including employee relations, employee wellbeing and performance management.
- Manage HR administration, including contracts, benefits, system updating and HR reports to the Executive Leadership Team and Board.
- Working with recruiting managers, responsible for the recruitment lifecycle, from advertising vacancies to on-boarding new hires.
- Develop, update and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company goals and comply with employment legislation.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives to support employee growth and career progression throughout the business.
- Lead the appraisal process, supporting managers and staff with training on the process and how to get the most out of these conversations, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Produce and analyse people data, spotting trends and using pro-actively to assist the Executive Leadership Team and managers.
- Lead the employee survey process, including analysis of results and generation of the organisational action plan. Including equality, diversity and inclusion initiatives to promote an inclusive and positive workplace to drive employee engagement.
- Any other HR duties as required by the organisation in response to the delivery of their strategic objectives.

Flexibility clause
This role will require regular travel to Archery GB headquarters in Lilleshall, Shropshire and may require travel to other locations as required by the role.
The job holder is required to be flexible in their duties and may be required to undertake other duties and responsibilities as specified by Archery GB.
