Location: Progress House, Eaglescliffe, Stockton-on-Tees
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Average 40 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 12-hour shifts including weekends and bank holidays (with potential night shifts)
Salary: £33,500 p.a. (includes unsociable hours allowance)

About the Role
Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) is seeking a highly motivated HEMS Dispatcher / Operations Support Officer to join our Operations team.
This is a critical role at the heart of our lifesaving service. As a HEMS Dispatcher, you will be responsible for the effective deployment and coordination of our aircraft and enhanced care teams, ensuring the right resources reach the right patients at the right time.
You will work closely with ambulance services, aircrew, clinicians and external emergency agencies, managing complex and time-critical incidents in a fast-paced control room environment.
The Ideal Candidate
To meet the challenges of the role, applicants must have previous experience of working in an pressurised environment, ideally in an emergency services control room and be highly organised with excellent prioritisation ability. Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential as is the ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Ideally you will have experience in an ambulance or HEMS control centre, an understanding of the pre-hospital emergency care system and the ability to use EMS software, CAD systems and radios.
