 We are looking to hire several Heavy Mobile Crane Operators based in Mansfield, UK.

Your new role 

As the Heavy Mobile Crane Operators you will be a key member of the Osprey team and responsible for the execution of onsite operations utilizing some of the country’s largest Heavy lift Cranes and rigging equipment. Working as part of the Heavy Lift team you will be responsible for the full life cycle within a project such as, working too QHSE standards, following detailed RAMS and engineered drawings, mobilization/demobilization of equipment and operating of the Heavy Lift Cranes. 

As a Heavy Mobile Crane Operators you will be accountable for:

  • Operational Delivery - Following the Osprey Way of Working, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a safe and effective manner. 
  • Site Relationships – developing and maintaining effective working relationships with Osprey Teams and supporting client requirements when required.  
  • Heavy Cranes Expertise – both on site operations (to include preforming basic maintenance, inspections etc.) and preoperational planning providing advice and support to Project Managers, Project Engineers and Heavy lift teams in the engineering stages of projects. 
  • Heavy Cranes Operations – responsible for the safe operation of heavy cranes in line with safe operating procedures
 

What you'll need to succeed 

The successful candidate will have:

  • CPCS Blue Card – Crane Operator 
  • CPCS Blue Card – Slinger Signaler 
  • UK Driving License (HGV C – C+E)
  • 3 + Years on 500Te cranes and above 
  • Experience operating LTM1800, LG1550 and LG1750
  • Liebherr familiarisation Training
  • Experience working in Ports environment 
  • Experience working in Civil infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Renewables, Railway, Nuclear environments  
  • Knowledge of LOLER and PUWER
  • BS7121-1/3
  • Ability to adapt to different environments and change
  • Planning and organizational skills
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work on a tactical and strategic level
  • Working as a team/be a strong team player
  • Working under your own initiative 
  • Good communication skills
  • Resilience
   
Please note that there is a general expectation this role will involve unsociable Hours and working away from home. 
 To fulfil the occupational requirements of this role you will need to comply with our Health & Safety Requirements you will be asked to undergo, and pass, a ‘fit for task’ medical assessment. Candidates must also be able to demonstrate, and must hold and evidence your right to work in the UK
