We’re looking for a Head of Business Development to lead our Business Development team and play a key role in driving growth, strengthening partnerships, and delivering meaningful impact.

This is a high‑profile leadership role, where you’ll shape our commercial direction, lead a talented team, and influence how we grow in a dynamic and evolving sector.

About the role

As a key member of our Leadership Team, you will:

  • Set and deliver our business development strategy and income targets
  • Build strong partnerships and identify new commercial opportunities
  • Lead, inspire and develop a high‑performing sales team
  • Represent the organisation externally, raising our profile and expanding our reach
  • Use insight, data and market knowledge to drive informed decisions and growth

You’ll take ownership of the full business development lifecycle, from horizon scanning and market engagement through to securing new business and delivering results.

About you

You’re a strategic and commercially minded leader who knows how to deliver results through people and relationships.

You’ll likely bring:

  • Proven experience in business development, sales or partnerships, with a strong track record of achieving targets
  • Experience operating at Leadership level, influencing strategy and outcomes
  • Strong understanding of relationship‑led sales and long‑term client engagement
  • Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to represent the organisation externally
  • Experience within education or working with awarding organisations is a plus, but not essential.

Why this role?

This is more than a sales role, it’s an opportunity to:

  • Shape how we grow and evolve
  • Build lasting partnerships that make a difference
  • Lead from the front and leave a real legacy

If you’re ready to take the lead and make a meaningful impact, we’d love to hear from you.  Review the candidate pack to learn more and hit the apply button to submit your application and help us drive our next chapter of commercial success.
