 JOB PURPOSE 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to provide administrative and fundraising support for the Pace fundraising team whose aim is to maximise income and opportunities for children with neurodisabilities and their families.  You will be joining a dedicated, experienced and supportive team who are keen to develop your skills and knowledge across a number of fundraising areas including Trusts and Foundations, major donors, events fundraising, individual giving and community fundraising.  With a main focus on supporting the Trusts and Philanthropy Manager you will be assisting with securing financial support, primarily from charitable trusts and foundations, including researching funding opportunities, assisting with funding applications and providing administrative and operational support to maintain excellent relationships with current and potential donors.  Past experience in fundraising is not essential, what is more, important is a commitment to our cause and the will to make a difference in the lives of children with neurodisabilities and their families.  The post is particularly suitable for someone looking to develop a career in fundraising, as opportunities for development will be available. 

Principal Objectives  
Enable children and young people with neurodisabilties to achieve their full potential by generating voluntary income as part of the fundraising team.  Be the custodian of our database, data processing and thanking processes  Be a champion of the fundraising department, working across Pace creating effective communication lines to ensure we achieve our goals.           

Key Responsibilities 
FUNDRAISING Co-ordinate the submission of smaller funding applications and assist in completing larger ones. Collate data/information to write and deliver reports to funders, ensuring reports are accurate, transparent and timely. Research trusts, foundations, and other high-value donors. Keep up to date with the work of the charity and communicate this to supporters in a compelling manner. Stewarding donors in line with Stewardship & Recognition Policy. Sending timely personal thank you letters and receipts. Supporting with events planning and community fundraising.  
COMMUNICATIONS
Collect information for donor newsletters and updates. Send reports, thank you letters and receipts. Diary management, including arranging calls, meetings and visits. 
DATA AND DATABASE USE Maintain accurate and up to date donor records on Pace’s database (Raiser’s Edge) Adding donations to the database Running reports from the database Adding data, records and attachments.  
FINANCIAL
Work with finance team to make sure donations match the database and the accounts.  
RELATIONSHIPS
Liaise with internal stakeholders and other admin functions. Develop excellent and enduring relationships with current and potential donors.          
Person Specification
Experience -  Experience in an administrative role is desirable but less important than having the skills and abilities to perform the role. 
Experience of supporting a fundraising team is desirable but not essential as training and support will be given.

Skills and abilities - Attention to detail. Good interpersonal skills and excellent and confident telephone manner. 
Good written and verbal communication skills and communication at all levels. 
Good time management skills, well organised and systematic, with an initiative to manage workload and multi-task. Good numeracy skills.
Ability to work under pressure. 
Able to identify when, and have the ability to, work on their initiative or as part of a team and when to seek support or advice. 
A positive, proactive, passionate individual who can embody and demonstrate organisational values in their behaviour and approach.
