Flexible Support Worker

Join The Lodge Trust as a Flexible Support Worker providing exceptional care to adults with learning disabilities across all hours of the week. This full-time position offers variety and flexibility, working weekdays, weekends and waking nights to ensure 24/7 support.
About the Role
As a Flexible Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred care and support to adults with learning disabilities, promoting their wellbeing, independence and dignity. Working within our values-based approach, you'll help residents develop their potential while maintaining their individuality and rights.
Hours: varied work pattern totaling 37.5 hours per week worked across weekdays, weekends, and nights
Pay: £13.67 per hour (higher than our standard £12.95/hour rate)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver person-centred care including personal care support
- Assist with daily living activities and medication administration
- Maintain care continuity during nights and weekends
- Support residents in developing life skills and accessing the community
- Keep accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team
- Follow safeguarding procedures and promote resident wellbeing
- Maintain a clean, homely and safe environment
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
Experience working with people with learning disabilities
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility and reliability
- Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, evenings and waking nights
NB: This role currently does NOT offer Sponsorship therefore all applicants MUST be authorised to work in the UK without a Certificate of Sponsorship
Desirable:
- NVQ2 in Care (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards qualification
- First Aid qualification
- Clean driving licence
- Knowledge of Care Standards and learning disability services
