Role Purpose & Overview
This is initially a seasonal role (February/ March to end of October) supporting the finance team with high volume transactional processing and payment of supplier invoices, issuing remittances and checking credit card and expense receipts during our key operating months. This role is a vital part of ensuring that accommodations, guides and other valued partners are paid on time to ensure customers have the best travel experience. It is also a crucial process which enables accurate and timely month end reporting.
Seasonality
Our busiest operational season is March to October with clients travelling with us during this summer period. As such, a higher volume of transactional accounting takes place at this time. The role is initially seasonal and temporary but depending on business needs could become permanent.
Hours of Work
Hours for this role are 35 hours per week, typically worked Monday to Friday.
Key Accountabilities
- Purchase ledger management - receipt, checking, processing and online filing of purchase invoices.
- Company card reconciliation - checking and reconciling of card transactions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Finance Supervisor, who is responsible for sales and purchase ledger and finance administration.
- Process purchase ledger invoices, plus any other purchase ledger tasks.
- Follow financial processes to ensure that Revolut debit card balances are managed.
- Follow financial processes to ensure that Revolut card expenditure is processed and reconciled in a timely manner Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines ensuring the highest level of client care at all time.
- Responding to queries from the wider team, suppliers and clients to ensure they receive all relevant information in a timely manner.

- A strong and clear commitment to customer service excellence and “extra mile” delivery.
- Good IT skills in Google Drive and Mac applications or the ability to pivot from Office 365 suite
- Experience with operational or CRM systems such as Salesforce desirable
- Strong administration and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accuracy even when very busy.
- Consistent attention to detail, even when managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills with an ability to develop and sustain internal & external business relationships.
- A natural collaborator who thrives in a high performing team supporting other teams (Operations, Sales and Marketing)

Preferred role-specific Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- A passion for financial administration
- Experience in cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero and proficient in excel/ Google sheets.
- Solid numeracy and IT skills, enabling you to work with Xero & Salesforce and their associated reporting systems.
- Proven ability to follow financial processes, prioritising tasks and attention to detail during busy periods.
- Experience of dealing with all parts of the tourism supply chain including accommodation, transport and other service providers.
