💬 Let me tell you a bit about me…

Hi, I’m Denise 👋

I live in Viewpark, Uddingston with my mum. Family means everything to me — especially after losing my dad last year, which has left a big gap and changed things for me in ways I’m still trying to work through.

People who know me best say I’m great company — I have a wicked sense of humour I can be funny without even knowing it, I can be sociable and chatty when I feel comfortable. They’re right… because there was a time when I was confident being out and about all the time — seeing my friends, going to college, travelling independently and just enjoying life.

But life hasn’t always been easy for me, a few difficult experiences has knocked my confidence, I have become more reliant on my mum and less confident about being out in the world enjoying life.

The good news?
That confident, sociable woman is still there — and I’m now ready to find her again. ✨

That’s where you come in.

🌟 What matters to me

Right now, I want to:

  • Feeling safe, be more confident and more independent again
  • Get back to doing the things I used to love (and maybe try some new ones too!)
  • Spend time with people and rebuild friendships
  • Be part of my community again — not just watching from the sidelines
With the right support, I truly believe that things can feel different for me in the next year

🧡 What I’m looking for in you

I don’t need someone to take over my life — I need someone to walk alongside me.

You’ll be the kind of person who:

  • Is calm, patient and reassuring and has a bit of banter
  • Understands that confidence takes time to rebuild
  • Can gently encourage me (without pressure or rushing me)
  • Builds trust — because feeling safe is really important to me
  • Knows when to step in… and when to step back
If you’re someone who celebrates small wins, enjoys meaningful conversations, and believes in people — we’ll get on brilliantly.

🚶‍♀️ What the role actually looks like

This isn’t a “routine support job” — it’s about helping me live my life again.

You’ll support me to:

  • 💬 Build my confidence step by step
  • 🏡 Take more control of things at home and build my independence
  • 🌍 Get out and about — even when it feels a bit scary at first
  • 🎨 Reconnect with activities I enjoy (and explore new ones too)
  • ☕ Visit places, meet people, and rebuild friendships
  • 💛 Manage my health and wellbeing
  • 🧠 Work through worries and anxieties with understanding and patience
Some days might be about heading out for a coffee or an activity…
Other days might be about staying in, building confidence slowly.

Both matter.

🕒 The practical bits

  • Part-time hours (worked across the week)
  • Based in Viewpark / Uddingston
  • Flexibility is important — as my needs can change
  • You’ll be part of a small, consistent team (this really matters to me)
🎁 What’s in it for you?

  • 6 weeks paid annual leave
  • Paid PVG & SSSC registration
  • Pension scheme
  • Full training and induction
  • Funded SVQ qualifications
  • Ongoing development opportunities
…but more importantly:

✅ A job that actually means something
✅ The chance to build a real, lasting connection
✅ The opportunity to see someone grow in confidence — because of you

👉 If this sounds like the kind of role you’ve been looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
