The Electronics Engineer will be responsible for the design of electronics to support the management, protection, and charging of batteries ranging in size from Wh to MWh. The role encompasses all phases of the product lifecycle, from concept and design through to development, verification, and ongoing product support.

Key functions:

·       Create schematic-level designs and PCB layouts for Battery Management Systems (BMS) and chargers.
·       Conduct bench testing to validate design concepts.
·       Manage component obsolescence and ensure design robustness.
·       Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Support Engineers and System Engineers.
·       Provide through-life support for deployed systems.
·       Following the company’s Electronic Design process.
 

Essential Skills & Experience

·       Strong structured approach to electronics design
·       Demonstrable professional experience across the full lifecycle of electronic systems.
·       Degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience (e.g. within renewables, aerospace, defence, energy, or environmental sectors).
·       Schematic design capability using industry-standard tools.
·       Experience in PCB layout design and testing.
·       Excellent written, verbal communication, and organisational skills.
 
Desirable Skills & Experience

·       Experience with battery management systems, particularly Lithium-Ion.
·       Knowledge of formal design methods, documentation, and verification techniques.
·       Experience of power electronics
·       Experience working in flexible fast paced environment.
·       Experience with ATEX/Ex systems
·       Proficiency in Altium or similar CAD tools for circuit design and layout.
 
Full time hours of work Monday - Friday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am to 12.30pm
