Join WBR Group as our Director of Finance
WBR Group is seeking an experienced and commercially minded Director of Finance to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering our financial strategy. Reporting directly to the Chief Finance Officer, this is a key leadership position within our Executive team, offering the opportunity to influence strategic decision-making, support business growth, and lead a high-performing finance function.
As Director of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the Group's financial operations, reporting, planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance. You will also act as a strategic partner to the CFO on capital planning, investor relations, mergers and acquisitions, and other growth initiatives.

What You'll Be Responsible For
Financial Leadership & Control
- Leading all operational finance processes, including record-to-report, procure-to-pay, payroll, banking, and financial close activities.
- Ensuring timely, accurate and insightful financial reporting to stakeholders, including departmental management accounts and Executive Committee reporting.
- Providing leadership, direction and development to Finance Heads of Department and the wider finance team.
- Supporting and challenging investment decisions to ensure capital is effectively allocated to initiatives that drive growth, client service and employee experience.
- Ensuring value for money through effective supplier and expenditure management.
- Overseeing the Group's finance systems and their integration with the wider technology landscape.
Financial Planning & Performance
- Leading the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.
- Identifying and communicating key financial risks, opportunities, sensitivities and assumptions.
- Managing cash flow forecasting and funding requirements.
- Monitoring compliance with banking covenants and implementing mitigation plans where required.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant tax, regulatory and statutory reporting obligations.
- Managing relationships with external auditors and supporting successful audit outcomes.
- Working closely with Risk & Compliance colleagues to identify, assess and mitigate financial risks.
Strategic Business Partnering
- Contributing to the strategic direction of the Group as a member of the senior leadership team.
- Providing financial expertise on key business projects and transformation initiatives.
- Supporting mergers, acquisitions and business integration activities.
- Assisting with debt and equity capital planning and responding to investor requirements.
- Driving financial awareness and commercially informed decision-making across the organisation.

Essential Experience
- Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role.
- Strong expertise in financial control, reporting, planning and operational finance.
- Experience leading and developing high-performing finance teams.
- Proven ability to partner with senior stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.
- Exposure to corporate transactions, business growth initiatives or complex organisational change.
Professional Qualifications
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Significant post-qualification experience.
