ABOUT ANNE
Anne Health is a not-for-profit organisation providing private gender-affirming healthcare to trans people across the UK. We believe in human-centred healthcare delivered by real professionals, transparent pricing, and making gender-affirming care accessible and affordable. Everything we do is grounded in warmth, dignity, and genuine care for our community. We operate remotely, with internal clinical and administrative employees supported by contracted prescribers across the UK and the EU.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role combines two things that don't always sit together: the analytical curiosity to go into a system or process, understand how it actually works, and identify what needs to change - and the project ownership to take that work all the way through to delivery. You won't be handed a fully defined brief and asked to execute it. You'll be expected to investigate, map, and analyse on one hand, and structure, coordinate, and deliver on the other. The common thread is ownership: you take things on, see them through, and leave them in better shape than you found them.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Delivery
  • Owning the end-to-end delivery of digital change projects across clinical, finance, and operational functions.
  • Building and maintaining project plans, tracking timelines, risks, and dependencies.
  • Coordinating multiple workstreams simultaneously, keeping priorities clear and progress visible.
  • Producing clear status updates, project documentation, and handover materials throughout.

Discovery & Process Mapping
  • Spending time with teams to understand how they actually use systems day-to-day - not just how they're supposed to work on paper.
  • Facilitating discovery sessions and workflow mapping exercises alongside subject matter experts.
  • Documenting current and future-state processes clearly, so improvements can be identified, agreed, and implemented.
  • Creating SOPs and guides that help teams work consistently and confidently.
  • Identifying and raising improvement opportunities within project scope.

Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
  • Building strong working relationships with internal leads across clinical, finance, HR, and operations.
  • Facilitating workshops and requirements sessions, helping teams articulate what they need.
  • Keeping the right people informed when changes are in flight and proactively identify knock-on effects.
  • Sharing findings, process maps, and project updates in a way that's accessible to different audiences.

Vendor & Platform Coordination
  • Coordinating with external vendors and platform providers to support delivery.
  • Supporting tool evaluation and selection processes including gathering requirements, organising demos, and documenting findings for decision-makers.
  • Holding external partners accountable to agreed timelines and commitments.

Data & Reporting
  • Working with teams to understand their reporting needs and translating those into useful, accessible outputs.
  • Supporting the build of dashboards and organisation-wide reference reporting.
  • Ensuring project outcomes are documented and measurable, and that the right information is visible to the right people.
  • Coordinating with internal or external specialists where more complex data or technical work is required.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential
  • Experience delivering digital or technology-enabled projects end-to-end, including managing timelines, risks, and stakeholders.
  • Confidence facilitating workshops and requirements sessions with mixed, non-technical audiences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear documentation, SOPs, and project updates.
  • Experience coordinating across multiple teams or functions simultaneously.
  • An organised, structured approach to your own workload and to the projects you lead.
  • Data-literate and comfortable working with data across systems, able to spot what's useful and what's missing.
  • Naturally curious and inquisitive: you ask good questions and don't take processes at face value.
  • Calm, constructive, and solutions-focused under pressure.

Desirable
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems or working in a regulated environment.
  • Experience with any of our platforms: Semble, Google Workspace, GoCardless, Breathe.
  • A project management qualification or equivalent experience (Prince2, APM, Agile (we care more about approach than certification)).
  • Lived experience as a trans person or within the LGBTQ+ community.

WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Fully remote position working from home.
  • Regular video calls and team meetings via video conferencing.
  • Access to necessary equipment and systems provided.
  • Supportive team environment with regular check-ins.

This is an outline role description and may be subject to change in consultation with the post holder.

APPLICATION PROCESS
Please submit the following files, all saved as PDF:
  1. Your CV.
  2. A brief covering letter explaining why you're interested in this role and what you'd bring to Anne Health.
  3. A completed application task.

Applications without these documents will not be reviewed. Please answer these questions in your own words. We want to hear your voice and your thinking; AI-generated responses won't give us that, and we'll be able to tell.

APPLICATION TASK
This task gives you the chance to show us how you think. We're not looking for perfect answers or polished theory - we want to understand how you approach problems, how you work with people, and how you get things done. There are no trick questions.

Please keep each answer to around 300 words
. Submit your responses as a single PDF.

Question 1
You've just joined a small healthcare organisation as Digital Project Manager. One of your first priorities is to improve how the team uses the clinical management system - a platform that touches almost every part of the operation, from patient records and admin workflows to payments and clinical processes.

You've been told by your manager that "the team finds it clunky and there's probably a lot we're not using properly." That's all the brief you've been given.

Please walk us through:
  • How you would approach getting under the skin of the problem - who you'd speak to, what you'd look for, and how you'd structure your discovery
  • How you'd prioritise what to tackle first
  • How you'd work with the software vendor to drive improvements
  • What good would look like at the end of this piece of work

Question 2
Tell us about a time you inherited a messy, unclear, or underdefined piece of work - something where the problem wasn't fully understood and the path forward wasn't obvious.

  • What did you do to get clarity?
  • How did you bring others along with you?
  • What did you deliver, and what would you do differently?

INCLUSION AT ANNE
