<div class="trix-content"> <div>About the Compliance team:<br>The primary role of the Compliance team is to support HFL as an organisation by ensuring that it identifies the risks it faces, by maintaining ethical conduct, and upholding HFL’s reputational risk by monitoring and ensuring compliance by implementing controls in line with policies and procedures. Compliance will monitor and report on the effectiveness of controls to the Board. The Compliance team will evaluate and investigate the eligibility for or conformity to legislation as issued by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission or other relevant agencies.<br><br>About this role:<br>The Manager of Compliance will be responsible for assisting with the administration of AML/CFT/CPF and Prudential matters within HFL’s business model, ensuring effective and timely compilation, monitoring and recording of matters arising. The role will also require the Manager of Compliance to exhibit high attention to detail and the ability to constructively challenge senior leadership where necessary. The individual will need to<br>show they can adapt and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. The Compliance Manager will have the chance to contribute towards maintaining a robust compliance framework working alongside the Head of Governance, this may include acting as Compliance Officer / MLCO / MLRO for client entities.<br><br>Key Responsibilities:<br>• Conducting CMP testing, and reviewing the tests undertaken by members of the Compliance team.<br>Recommend corrective actions and track resolution of compliance issues to ensure timely implementation;<br>• Implementing updates to the CMP where there are changes to legislation or a new business line;<br>• Implement and maintain the regulatory registers e.g Complaints, Breaches, PEPs, Gifts, Conflicts of interest and declined business;<br>• Input and assist from a Compliance perspective the take on stage of new business prior to the submission to the Commission (including attendance at the New Business Acceptance Committee and assisting with the use of the GFSC authorisation portal);<br>• Ensure regulatory filings are made in a timely manner;<br>• Attend to ad-hoc requests or other duties as required by the teams within HFL and assist with project work on an ad-hoc basis;<br>• Work closely with key business areas and stakeholders to implement HFL’s compliance strategies, e.g review PEP assessments;<br>• Review and update compliance reports for the relevant boards;<br>• Manage the day to day running of the team including 1-2-1’s and performance reviews of the relevant team members;<br>• Attend relevant committees and meetings as a Compliance representative;<br>• Support the Head of Governance Risk and Compliance as and when required to ensure HFL is compliant with local regulations.<br><br>Personal attributes:<br>• The ability to manage own workload and adapt to the needs of the team;<br>• Be well organised with the ability to prioritise conflicting work whilst retaining an excellent attention to detail;<br>• Develop and deliver training programs to ensure an all-staff awareness and understanding of compliance requirements;<br>• Ensure own knowledge of, and compliance with policies and procedures and legislation;<br>• Good written and verbal communication skills;<br>• Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively;<br>• Work closely with key business areas and stakeholders to implement HFL’s compliance strategies;<br>• An ability to handle confidential information in a professional and discreet manner.<br><br>Qualifications and expertise:<br>• Hold or be studying towards a recognised professional qualification such as ICA and/or have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in business support/compliance function<br>• Have a good understanding of GFSC regulations in particular The Protection of Investors (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2020, the Regulation of Fiduciaries, Administration Businesses and Company Directors, etc (Bailiwick of Guernsey) Law, 2020 and AML/CFT/CPF regulations.<br>• Have integrity and a commitment to upholding ethical standards.<br><br><strong>Please contact us at </strong><a href="mailto:HR@HFL.co.gg">HR@HFL.co.gg</a> <strong>for further information.&nbsp;</strong></div> </div>
