About The Felix Project
The Felix Project is London’s largest food redistribution charity. Our vision is a London where good food is never wasted, and no one goes hungry. We aim to reduce the negative impact food waste has on the environment by working with the food industry to rescue high quality surplus produce, that would otherwise have gone to waste. This food is sorted at one of our four depots or turned into meals in Felix’s Kitchen. It is then distributed to over 1,200 community organisations, such as food banks, homeless shelters and primary schools, all of whom are working within communities across London to feed people experiencing hunger.

Purpose of the Job
Based in one of our operational warehouses and in the community you will help support Felix’s missions through the development of a network of charities, community groups and other key stakeholders involved supporting vulnerable Londoners across London. Your work will help to build the network’s capacity to accept and distribute food through our depot operations, Green Scheme & Felix Connect and non-food items through Felix’s Multibank.
The Community Coordinator role will support the depot and operational teams, responding to enquiries from the community network to help ensure the smooth flow of food and non-food items whilst delivering excellent customer service. This will include ensuring recipients of our food are compliant with all relevant legislation and guidance as required by our food partners and food business operators.
Your work will help us to effectively monitor and evaluate our growth against our strategic objectives through robust data collection, monitoring and updating using our CRM system.
Duties and Responsibilities

- Contribute toward Felix achieving its network growth targets in line with the objectives for food supply and operational capacity
- Working with Community Engagement Manager & Community Partnerships Managers identify, develop and maintain relationships with our network of community organisations to deliver long-term sustainable partnerships
- Support the day-to-day operational teams acting as a liaison with our network of community organisations
- Develop and deliver programmes that will engage our network with all aspects of Felix’s work and the wider social and environmental impact of its potential in their communities
- Regular reporting and measurement against agreed KPIs
- Proactively engage and collaborate with all teams within Felix to increase impact and quality of service delivery
- Deliver innovative services compliant with all relevant legislation and standard operating procedures including food safety, health and safety, data protection and volunteer policies
- Act as an ambassador for The Felix Project as required
Person Specification

Essential Criteria
- Successful track record in a relationship management position in charity or commercial sector
- Adept at managing a range of stakeholders from senior management teams to grass roots organisations
- Proven track record in delivering innovative solutions
- Ability to work effectively to ensure compliance within clearly defined systems and processes
- Ability to work with data and relevant IT systems to support its collection and analysis such as MS Dynamics 365 and PowerBi (training will be provided)
- Credible as an external ambassador, equipped with excellent communication and influencing skills
- Ability and willingness to work in a busy environment
- Ability to work within a team of varied individuals with a positive attitude
- Committed to reducing waste and alleviating poverty
Desirable skills/knowledge relevant to this role
- Flexibility in terms of working hours
- Willingness to attain Food Safety & HACCP Level 3
- Full UK Driving Licence (with no more than 6 points) held for at least 1 year – over 21 for insurance purposes

There is an expectation that you will work in any one of our operations (Deptford, Enfield, Acton and Poplar) as required as part of your duties. The salary is £28,000 - £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience), 25 days annual leave + bank holidays.
