At Change Mental Health, we believe that good communication is an essential tool in raising awareness and fighting stigma around mental health

We are looking for an enthusiastic and creative Communications Officer to join us on the next step of our journey! With a new brand, name, website and strategy, you will be an integral role within the charity to maximise our reach and impact through delivering high quality communications.

Change Mental Health is a leading national mental health charity providing transformative person-centred support across Scotland. We are moving into the next phase of our development and we are seeking a passionate and determined individual who can enhance our profile and communications function.

·        The Communications Officer supports with day to day communications tasks and has the knack for transforming exciting activity into engaging content.
·        They oversee all facets of digital communications – including our website, social media, newsletters and more – and bring stories to life for use across multiple channels and avenues.
·        They will feed into and deliver our communications strategy.
·        The role will report to the Head of Communications and work closely with teams across policy and public affairs, fundraising, services, and more.

What we are looking for

The Communications Officer believes in driving positive and lasting chance. You will be a great communicator, bursting with great ideas and eager to get involved!

We are seeking someone who:

·        Loves to write, whether that’s crafting a social media post, press release or email.
·        Has extensive experience of digital communications.
·        Has previous communications and/or marketing experience.
·        Has a positive and enthusiastic ‘can do’ attitude, that thrives in a complex environment of a growing organisation, and are happy to muck in!
·        Is ambitious about what they can be and do with an openness to learning and development.
·        Is passionate about mental health.
