Salary: Voluntary
Hours: Six hours per week, Tuesday, 10:00 to 16:00 with half an hour unpaid break or Saturday (Matchday) 11:00 to 17:00. Flexibility around working days and hours.
Role summary
As a Commercial Account Executive Intern at Cambridge United Football Club, you will play a key role in supporting the club’s commercial operations and revenue growth initiatives. You will assist the commercial team in managing and developing relationships with sponsors, partners, and clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional commercial events. This role provides hands-on exposure to sales, account management, and operations within a fast-paced, high-profile sports environment.
You will support the identification of new business opportunities, help execute commercial campaigns, and assist with reporting and analysis to track performance against revenue targets. The role offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the commercial side of professional football, develop strong client management skills, and contribute to the club’s commercial success.
Key job outcomes
• Assist in managing relationships with sponsors, partners, and key clients.
• Support the commercial team in sales and account management activities.
• Help prepare presentations, proposals, and commercial reports.
• Contribute to the planning and execution of commercial campaigns and events.
• Conduct market research and identify potential business opportunities.
• Support the team with administrative and operational tasks as needed
• Assist on the delivery of matchday hospitality
