The Mission: Bridging Culture and Commerce

Artiq is an international art agency with a seventeen-year legacy of redefining the creative economy. We believe that art is a business imperative and that artists deserve fair, sustainable pay. As we enter our 17th year, we continue to bridge the gap between global corporate leaders and the world’s most exciting creative talent.

We are seeking a Co-Founder’s Associate to work directly alongside our Co-Founder, Patrick McCrae. This is a role for a sophisticated, high-potential individual who wishes to operate at the intersection of business development strategy, and high-level Executive support. You will be Patrick’s strategic partner, ensuring that every opportunity is captured and every relationship is nurtured with the excellence our clients expect.

 A Legacy of Leadership

This position is a cornerstone of our business and has been for over a decade. It is designed for those who seek deep exposure to the mechanics of a world class creative firm. This role offers strong long-term career potential and has historically provided a solid foundation for professional growth, with previous team members advancing their position both within the company and across the broader industry.

The Two Pillars of the Role

1. Strategic Business Development & Engagement:
-        Market Intelligence: You will conduct deep research into prospective clients and partners, utilising data, research and AI to identify strategic opportunities and map out key stakeholders.

-        The Room: You will accompany Patrick to key meetings and industry events. You are there to observe, synthesise high-level discussions, and ensure that Artiq’s presence is represented with professionalism and gravitas.

-        The Follow-Up: You will manage the post-meeting momentum. Using tried and tested systems and processes, you will ensure that follow-ups are immediate, articulate, and tailored to the specific needs of the client.

-        Thought Leadership: You will assist in the preparation of briefing notes, research for articles, and coordination of Patrick’s speaking engagements, ensuring our mission remains at the forefront of the cultural conversation.

2. Executive Flow & Operational Precision:
-        Complex Diary Management: You will have total ownership of a fast-moving, international diary. You don’t just schedule; you curate Patrick’s time to ensure focus on the highest-impact initiatives.

-        International Logistics: You will coordinate intricate travel itineraries with surgical precision, anticipating needs before they arise and ensuring seamless transitions across time zones.

-        Internal Liaison: You will act as a trusted bridge between the Co-Founder and the wider Artiq team, ensuring that commercial projects/partnerships are communicated clearly and projects move forward with pace.

 The Profile

-        Astute & Purpose-Led: You possess a genuine passion for the arts but are driven by commercial success and the professionalisation of the creative sector.

-        Tech-Fluent: You are highly tech literate and thrive in a fast-paced business environment. You are an early adopter of AI tools to enhance your research and organisational efficiency.

-        Refined Communication: You have exceptional writing skills and the ability to mirror Patrick’s tone. You are equally comfortable drafting a formal proposal as you are a sharp, brief update to a CEO.

-        High Emotional Intelligence: You have the 'gravitas' to represent the firm. You can read a room, understand social nuances, and handle confidential information with absolute discretion.

-        Proactive Ownership: You operate with a solution-first mindset, identifying gaps and addressing them before they become issues.

Why Artiq?

You will gain an unparalleled education in creative entrepreneurship, sitting at the table for high-level negotiations and industry-shaping decisions. This is an opportunity to contribute to a business that has spent 17 years proving that art and business are better together.
