Our Apprenticeship Assessment team are looking for Chief Examiners (Apprenticeship Assessment) who have a specialist knowledge and experience in a range of subjects to join our flexible, wider workforce contractors.

Our Chief Examiners will support our growing team in the high-quality development and delivery of Apprenticeship Assessments (AA) and/or complete quality assurance activities for the following apprenticeship standards:

  • Administration Assistant Level 2 ST1472
  • Business Administrator Level 3 ST0070
  • Content Creator Level 3 ST0105
  • Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Practitioner Level 4 ST0934
  • Customer Service Practitioner Level 2 ST0072
  • Customer Service Specialist Level 3 ST0071
  • Digital Device Repair Technician Level 3 ST0682
  • Multi-channel Marketer Level 3 ST1031
  • Operations Manager Level 5 ST0385
  • Sports Coach Level 4 ST0770
  • Team Leader Level 3 ST0384
 
As a Chief Examiner (Apprenticeship Assessment), you will be responsible for supporting the maintenance of standards in Apprenticeship Assessment for your relevant subject areas/s and methods of assessment from year to year and providing support and guidance on monitoring the standards of the External Quality Assurers (EQAs). 

To join our team, we are looking for:
 
  • A suitable qualification above the level specified or equivalent up to date knowledge and experience in a similar role
  • Assessment and QA experience in EPA/AA
  • Have experience of leading a team of external quality assurers, ideally in EPA/AA 
  • Experience of EPA/AA assessment development and writing 

Owing to the nature of this role, any offer of employment with Gateway Qualifications, will be subject to a satisfactory Basic Disclosure Barring Service Check (DBS).
 
As a self-employed contractor, you’ll be based at home and will therefore need a reliable, high-speed internet connection, appropriate IT hardware and software, and a quiet, suitably furnished place to work.  This position is ideal for professionals who thrive in a flexible work environment and are comfortable managing their own business operations. Please note this role may require some travel to our partner institutions and centres.
