We are looking for a friendly, hardworking and skilled Caretaker to ensure that our facilities are at the highest standard we can offer our guests. At Grittleton Adventures we offer schools an outdoor activity packed residential trip. A huge part of the overall success of the trip depends on the maintenance of the accommodation and communal areas.

Due to the high volumes of groups travelling to Grittleton House over the season and the nature of the house being old, maintenance issues can come up fairly regularly. We need a dedicated individual who will make regular checks around the buildings and outdoor spaces to aim to prevent or deal with issues before they arise. In addition, when situations are reported, that they are dealt with quickly and efficiently. 

The ideal candidate will need to have knowledge and skills in many aspects of maintenance such as carpentry, painting and decorating. Work could involved anything from fixing a leaking tap, broken locks, plastering walls or general maintenance such as installing new doors. The role is very varied. 

As a small team we also require flexibility within their duties and be willing to help other teams at busy times such as the housekeeping team during switchover days.
