You'll be more than just a vaccinator - you'll be a health advocate, working autonomously to engage with diverse communities, support outbreak response campaigns, and help overcome barriers to immunisation. From administering children’s Nasal flu vaccines to supporting adult immunisation programmes, you'll use your clinical expertise to make healthcare accessible where it's needed most.

What You'll Do: Autonomously deliver children’s nasal spray flu vaccine and adult vaccinations such as covid, RSV, pneumococcal, shingles etc, engage with diverse communities, support outbreak campaigns, and help overcome barriers to immunisation. You'll be more than a vaccinator - you'll be a health advocate making healthcare accessible where it's needed most.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties - Super Vaccinator Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Clinical Delivery
- Safely administer vaccines and immunisations across all age groups in community settings
- Conduct health assessments and obtain informed consent from patients/parents
- Manage medical emergencies and provide basic life support when required
Community Engagement
- Travel to diverse locations including schools, clinics, and community centres
- Work directly with families and community leaders to promote vaccination uptake
- Support targeted campaigns in areas with low immunisation rates
Operational Excellence
- Plan and coordinate vaccination sessions and home visits
- Maintain cold chain protocols and accurate immunisation records
- Assess patients for eligibility under Patient Group Directives
Health Promotion
- Educate communities about vaccine benefits and address concerns
- Identify and signpost patients to additional health services
- Support outbreak response and catch-up vaccination programmes
Professional Practice
- Work autonomously while maintaining clinical governance standards
- Adapt to changing immunisation schedules and public health priorities
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across primary and secondary care
You'll be the face of immunisation services in your community, combining clinical expertise with compassionate care to protect public health.
Essential Requirement
NMC Registered Nurse
Completed The Fundamentals of Immunisation for Health Care Professionals
Experience in children’s nasal spray flu administration and Adult Vaccinations
Children’s primary vaccinations would also be an advantage
