Pace is a values-led organisation supporting children with neurodisabilities and their families through innovative, child-centred services. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Advanced Speech and Language Therapist to join our specialist Child and Family Services team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled clinician to provide expert assessment, intervention and family support within a specialist early intervention service. Working alongside Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Conductive Educators, you will play a key role in delivering integrated, transdisciplinary therapy for babies, toddlers and young children with complex needs.

About the Role
As an Advanced Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
- Provide highly specialist assessment and intervention for children with complex neurodisabilities, communication needs and developmental differences.
- Lead on specialist Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) assessment, implementation and review.
- Support children with complex eating, drinking and swallowing needs, in line with your training and competencies.
- Work closely with parents and carers, empowering them as confident communication partners through coaching, modelling and support.
- Contribute expert clinical reasoning within a transdisciplinary team, ensuring therapy goals are embedded into everyday routines and family life.
- Provide supervision, mentorship and support to less experienced Speech and Language Therapy colleagues, students and assistants.
- Contribute to service development, quality improvement and evidence-based practice across the Child and Family Service.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC registration and RCSLT membership (or eligibility)
- Has significant paediatric experience working with children with neurodisabilities and complex communication needs.
- Has advanced skills in AAC and early intervention practice.
- Feels confident in managing clinical complexity and uncertainty within a specialist setting.
- Enjoys coaching and supporting families to achieve meaningful outcomes.
- Has experience supervising, mentoring or supporting colleagues and students.
- Values collaborative, transdisciplinary working and continuous professional development.
Desirable experience includes paediatric dysphagia, specialist neurodisability training, AAC qualifications and involvement in service development or quality improvement initiatives.
